Technical SEO Lead (Columbus)

We are seeking a Technical SEO Lead, located in Columbus, for an established consulting firm, with premium clients and a growing digital marketing practice. Our client is ready to dramatically expand that practice and they are looking for an analytically minded highly technical SEO leader to play a key role. They are focused on acquiring premium, regional, national and global accounts with sophisticated SEO needs. And they have a targeted premium service.

This role isn’t about title tags and site maps. We are seeking a highly technical SEO leader who can be the foundation of a technical SEO team. This person will be responsible for the SEO strategy for existing clients and help define the SEO offering.

The successful candidate will have deep technical SEO experience. The ideal candidate will:

  • Develop and execute sophisticated and impactful SEO strategies
  • Serve as a conduit between the client and our business/support teams
  • Have strong project management skills
  • Foster a collaborative, energized internal dynamic team
  • Provide leadership for a small and growing team of digital marketing specialists
  • Be approachable, flexible and adaptable to change
  • Have their Google Analytics Certification

This is a growing team and the Technical SEO Lead work closely with agency leadership and team members. The Technical SEO Lead will work hyrid from home and in the office, but would need to be able to return to the office when the office reopens.

This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of clients across different industries to continue learning and growing. The SEO Lead will be a part of building an in-house SEO practice. You will work both new business activities as well as strategy and implementation of solutions. Experience working at an agency is a plus.

The successful candidate will be strong in Google Analytics and ensure alignment between SEO and Paid Search activities. The ideal candidate will:

  • Understand overall social and/or digital media strategy
  • Be confident in storytelling through analytics
  • Have proven technical, content and off-site SEO experience
  • Know eCommerce best practices
